POSITION: Site HR Head

Location: Kolkata

Position Overview
The Senior Manager - HR, will oversee and manage complete human capital function of the business unit.

Job Context and Major Challenges

The business process outsourcing industry in India is going through a growth phase. Despite rapid growth there are ever increasing challenges such as high attrition rates, consolidation of the industry, increased maturity of buyers leading to continuous revamping of cost structures and necessity of moving up the value chain. Several new sourcing destinations each having their own set of advantages are also emerging around the globe. In this scenario the challenge is to keep costs at a minimum, increase internal efficiency and effectiveness and continuously improve customer service.

The incumbent is responsible for fruitfully addressing management concerns and realize HR's role as a valuable partner in executing a holistic human capital management strategy that stresses on a superior corporate culture based on performance and accountability.

Specific Responsibilities:
Ensure effectiveness of HR function at the BU:

Supervise and manage complete human capital function of the BU with over 700 FTEs.
Manage and proactively address employee related concerns and issues.
Responsible for attrition management and analysis.
Manage Employee Engagement processes and initiatives.
Deployment and Management of Performance Management Processes.
Facilitate Talent Development and Talent Management initiatives along with corporate HR.
Be aware of and have a pulse on overall employee morale in the SBU/BU.
Manage Induction and Exit formalities
Ensure statutory compliances:

Implementing HR policies and making sure compliance matrices are met.
Liaison with local government/municipal bodies for obtaining licenses in accordance with labor laws.
Conduct periodic reviews of deviations from standards and escalate to the Head-HR.
Oversee and manage payroll data:

Ensure attendance information is captured effectively for the Site and is in line with the absenteeism and leave policy.
Coordinate with the finance team to ensure that data from site is captured as per timelines and payout is made as per agreed dates.
Manage team performance:

Assign roles and responsibilities, help set targets and goals and manage performance for team members.
Motivate team members and provide a healthy work atmosphere, coach and mentor team and provide opportunities for career growth.
